KNUT Oficial Taken to court for publicly insulting Uhuru, here is what he called him



A Kenya National Union of Teacher (KNUT) official has been arraigned in court  for allegedly insulting President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to reports, Kennedy Nyamwanda Ondieki based in Nyamira County has been accused of calling the president a ‘bhang smoker’ during a meeting held last year where he was addressing the countrywide teachers’ strike recently.

Ondieki who was brought  before the judge, indicated that Ondieki said: “Uhuru Kenyatta onyure enyasore enyinge yagerire akoraa eserekari ya Kenya gochia rochie.”

When it was translated it said: “Uhuru Kenyatta has smoked a lot of it to the extent that he leading the country to a river.”

The KNUT official however denied the charge and was released on a Sh20,000 bond by Magistrate Towett. The case will be mentioned on November 21.
