Last week there was a Sh 50 bob note that was making rounds on social media with many users poking fun at the currency note. Many Kenyans especially those in business have in the past rejected this kinds of notes owing rejection of them in supermarkets.
But little did they know that such kinds of notes can be exchanged with new ones for free!
The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has made the announcement through its Twitter timeline advised Kenyans to submit such notes to any of their branches countrywide to exchange them with new ones.
The bank regulator also said that the service of exchanging the notes is not charged.
